V.J. Brockett is an illustrator, animator and filmmaker.  During early childhood, she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and was given a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt as treatment. 

She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Animation from The University of the Arts, a Master’s degree in Art Education from The College of New Rochelle and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University.  She is also an AmeriCorps NCCC Alumni. Her studio, Luna’s Window Productions, creates books and films for people of all ages. Ms. Brockett is not famous, she is just one of many people with a chronic illness.
